Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups flour
1 T baking powder
1/3 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 Cup sugar
1/4 t salt

2 egg yolks
1 3/4 Cups milk
1/2 Cup applesauce (or oil)
1 t vanilla

2 egg whites
Instructions:
Combine dry ingredients.

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Combine egg yolks, milk, applesauce (oil) and vanilla. Add this mixture to the flour mixture.

Gently fold egg whites into mixture.

Enjoy with whip cream - no syrup needed!
