Ingredients:
10 c. old fashioned oats
1 c. wheat germ
1/2 lb. shredded coconut
2 c. raw sunfower seeds
1 c. sesame seeds
3 c. chopped almonds, pecans, walnuts (combination of them)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil (or 1 c. applesauce and 1/2 c. oil)
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. molasses
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tsp. vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300 F.
Combine the oats, wheat germ, coconut, seeds and nuts in a bowl. Set aside.
Then place the brown sugar, water, oil, honey, molasses, salt, cinnamon and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
Pour over the dry ingredients. Make sure it is coated! Place on cookie sheets. Bake at 300 degrees for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. To make it crunchier, cook an additional 15 minutes.
