Ingredients:
15 lasagna noodles
Besciamella Sauce:
2 TB butter/margarine
2 TB flour
1 1/2 c milk
1/4 tsp salt
dash nutmeg
1/8 tsp pepper
Marinara Sauce:
Either buy your favorite kind or...
Olive Oil
Onion, chopped
Garlic, diced
Tomatoes, 2 14 oz cans
Tomato Sauce, 1 8 oz jar
Basil
Oregano
Salt
Pepper
Ham, cut in bite size pieces
Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit. Boil the noodles as directed on package. For the red sauce, slowly saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Sometimes I let this simmer for several hours. But if you're short on time, just do what tastes good.
For besciamella sauce, mix flour and butter for 2 minutes. Slowly add milk and stir until sauce thickens. About 5 minutes. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Set ingredients on counter and start layering in a 9x13 pan! Start with a small amount of red sauce on the bottom of the pan. Then place noodles, red sauce/cheeses, noodles, besciamella sauce/ham, noodles, red sauce/cheeses, noodles, besciamella sauce/ham, etc. Continue layering until you run out of room! Top with cheese. Bake until bubbly, sometimes 30-45 minutes.
